Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: Lipstickroyalty Agency Joins Mayami Wynwood for a Celebration of Culture, Community, and Flavor
Lipstickroyalty Agency CEO and Co-Founder Shawn Nelson, Co-Founder Regina Smiley, and agency client Masha Kova joined Mayami Wynwood for its Hispanic Heritage Month Happy Hour on September 25.

For The Lipstickroyalty Agency Inc., culture has never been something reserved for a campaign calendar. It is woven into who we are, how we communicate and the communities we are proud to serve.
On Friday, September 25, Lipstickroyalty Agency CEO and Co-Founder Shawn Nelson, Co-Founder Regina Smiley, and client Masha Kova joined Mayami Wynwood for its Hispanic Heritage Month Happy Hour, an evening celebrating Hispanic culture, community, food, and the unmistakable energy of Miami.
We were grateful for the invitation to experience the celebration firsthand and to spend an evening connecting over great food, conversation, and culture in the heart of Wynwood.
Hispanic Heritage Is Personal at Lipstickroyalty
Hispanic Heritage Month, observed annually from September 15 through October 15, creates an opportunity to recognize the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities in the United States.
For Lipstickroyalty, that recognition is also personal.
Our CEO and Co-Founder, Shawn Nelson, is a proud Afro-Latina, and the intersection of culture, identity, and representation has helped shape the perspective from which our agency approaches communications.

As a minority-owned, women-led agency working within one of the country's most culturally diverse markets, we understand that representation isn't simply about being present. It is about being welcomed into the room, creating opportunities for communities to see themselves authentically reflected and supporting businesses and organizations that make culture part of the experience.
That is why moments like Mayami's Hispanic Heritage Month celebration matter.
They provide opportunities to come together around the things that often connect generations and cultures most naturally: food, music, hospitality, conversation and shared experience.
Celebrating at Mayami Wynwood
Located in the heart of Wynwood, Mayami provided an energetic backdrop for Friday evening's celebration.
The restaurant's Hispanic Heritage Month Happy Hour gave guests an opportunity to experience the venue while enjoying a specially celebrated happy-hour atmosphere centered around the month.
For our team, it was also an opportunity to simply enjoy Miami.
Between an incredible Happy Hour menu, beautiful surroundings and the energy Mayami is known for, the evening reminded us why hospitality venues can play such an important role in bringing communities together.
Our experience was warm, vibrant, and memorable, making Mayami a destination we were happy to return to and a place we can confidently consider for an evening out, celebrations, dinner, and drinks in Wynwood.
And yes, the Happy Hour menu absolutely deserves its own mention.
Why Cultural Moments Matter to Brands
There is also a larger conversation here from our perspective as a public relations and marketing agency.
Cultural heritage months should never be treated as an opportunity for brands to simply change a graphic, publish a themed social post and move on.
People can tell the difference between participation and performative marketing.
The brands and businesses that create meaningful cultural connections are the ones willing to engage with communities, celebrate authentically, create experiences and provide space for people to connect.
Experiential moments like this can transform cultural recognition from something audiences merely see online into something they can experience in real life.
That matters.
It creates memories. It creates conversation. It introduces people to businesses and spaces. And when executed thoughtfully, it gives communities another opportunity to celebrate the cultures that have helped shape the cities in which those businesses operate.
In Miami, especially, Hispanic and Latino culture isn't adjacent to the city's identity. It is deeply embedded within its food, music, language, entrepreneurship, entertainment, neighborhoods, and everyday life.
Culture Is Meant to Be Experienced
As an agency working across public relations, marketing, entertainment, lifestyle, and experiential campaigns, Lipstickroyalty believes some of the most meaningful brand moments happen when strategy moves beyond a screen.
Friday night was one of those reminders.
We came to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. We experienced a great menu and atmosphere. We spent time together as an agency, alongside one of our clients. And we supported a Miami destination creating a moment around a culture that means something personally to members of our team and to so much of the community we serve.
To Mayami Wynwood, thank you for the invitation and hospitality.
We appreciate having spaces in our city where celebrating Hispanic heritage can feel exactly as it should: joyful, intentional, social and proudly rooted in culture.
And as Hispanic Heritage Month continues through October 15, Lipstickroyalty will continue celebrating the stories, businesses, creatives and communities that make our multicultural city what it is.
¡Que viva nuestra cultura!
