At Lipstickroyalty Agency, we believe in honoring the legacies that shape our lives and our communities. Today, we remember and celebrate the life of Tysean J. Nelson a remarkable young man whose story continues to inspire strength, purpose, and resilience.
Tysean J. Nelson was more than just a student-athlete—he was a natural leader, a loyal friend, a beloved son and brother, and a soon-to-be father. He was also the younger brother of our CEO and Co-Founder, Shawn Nelson, who carries his memory into every part of the agency's mission. Known for his calm confidence and ability to uplift those around him, Tysean’s presence left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege to know him.

A standout linebacker at Dover High School, Tysean wore jersey #7 with pride. His talent on the field was matched by his discipline in the classroom—earning honor roll recognition and attracting interest from top collegiate programs.
In 2020, he enrolled at William Paterson University, where he balanced college life, academics, and athletics with grace. He excelled in football completing his first term with strong marks and big dreams for the future.
But Tysean’s greatest achievement wasn’t found in trophies or transcripts—it was in the way he lived. Selfless, driven, and deeply loved, he was preparing for one of life’s biggest milestones: fatherhood. Tragically, his life was taken far too soon on June 30, 2021, at just 19 years old, during a senseless act of gun violence in his hometown.
In the wake of his passing, Tysean’s legacy lives on through heartfelt tributes, his growing family, and the community efforts that have sprung up in his name. From memorial events to creative projects like the Hardbodyy by Tysean J. Nelson brand, his memory continues to inspire those who knew him—and even those who didn’t.
At Lipstickroyalty, we carry Tysean’s story with us. His life reminds us of the importance of purpose, the power of legacy, and the urgency to protect our youth. We honor him not only as family, but as a guiding light for everything we do.
