Masha Kova Launches a New Era With “Red Light Green Light”

Inside the strategy, events, performances and PR campaign behind one of our favorite artist rollouts yet.

There is a difference between releasing a song and building a moment around a song.

For our client Masha Kova, the release of her newest single, “Red Light Green Light,” was never intended to live on streaming platforms alone.

As Masha’s Agency of Record, our team at The Lipstickroyalty Agency has worked alongside her creative and music teams to develop an era that extends across branding, public relations, visual storytelling, content, live performance, media and experiential marketing.

And release weekend brought all of those pieces together.

“Red Light Green Light” officially arrived Friday, September 18, 2026, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Miami Beach-based pop and R&B artist.

The record blends polished pop, R&B and house influences with a playful push-and-pull energy that feels confident, flirtatious and unmistakably Masha.

But the song was only the beginning.

More Than a Release Day

One of the biggest mistakes artists can make is treating release day as the finish line.

For us, it is the opposite.

Release day should create enough momentum to fuel the next several weeks of storytelling, press, content, performances and discovery.

Our strategy for “Red Light Green Light” was built around creating multiple moments audiences could experience, photograph, share and talk about.

The weekend included:

  • The official release of “Red Light Green Light” across major streaming platforms

  • The premiere of the official music video on VEVO

  • A private Miami Beach yacht release celebration

  • Masha’s debut live performance of the record at Open Sessions

  • A second live performance at the Pretty Hustlaz LinkUp

  • Social content, media outreach, influencer engagement and post-release PR supporting the campaign

Three days. Multiple audiences. One cohesive story.

Friday: Introducing the World of “Red Light Green Light”

Release night began with an intimate private yacht experience in Miami Beach created around the visual identity of the new record.

Rather than producing a traditional release party, the goal was to create an environment that felt like an extension of the campaign itself.

Guests were invited into the “Red Light Green Light” world, with a Race Car Chic dress code, curated branding, custom details, music, food, photography and opportunities to experience the record alongside Masha.

The guest list intentionally brought together creatives, media, influencers, collaborators, industry professionals and members of Masha’s community.

Every detail served a purpose.

For us, experiential PR is not simply about throwing an event. A successful activation should create content, conversation, relationships, social proof and additional reasons for people to engage with the campaign after they leave.

That same evening, the official “Red Light Green Light” music video premiered on VEVO, giving the record an immediate visual component and another major piece of content to drive throughout the campaign.

Saturday: Taking the Record to the Stage

The next chapter happened live.

On Saturday, Masha debuted “Red Light Green Light” during Open Sessions at Arlo Wynwood, an event powered by Soul Era Records and The Lipstickroyalty Agency.

Joined by backup dancers, Masha delivered a full performance set that included both “Red Light Green Light” and “Bye Bye Bye.”

This moment represented months of work that audiences rarely see.

Behind a polished performance are rehearsals, creative conversations, media training, brand development, content planning, artist development, production decisions and countless adjustments.

Those behind-the-scenes hours are often where campaigns are truly built.

For emerging artists especially, live performance is an important piece of brand development because audiences are not only hearing the music.

They are beginning to understand who the artist is.

Sunday: Keeping the Momentum Moving

By Sunday, the campaign was still moving.

Masha performed “Red Light Green Light” again at the Pretty Hustlaz LinkUp, placing the new record in front of another audience and creating yet another piece of the release-week story.

That consistency was intentional.

Instead of one announcement followed by silence, the campaign moved from:

Release → Experience → Video → Performance → Performance → Press → Content

Each moment gave us another opportunity to tell the story.

The Strategy Behind the Rollout

At The Lipstickroyalty Agency, our approach to music PR goes far beyond sending a press release.

For Masha, our work has included strategy across:

Public Relations

Developing the narrative, identifying media opportunities and positioning each milestone as part of a larger artist story.

Artist Branding

Ensuring the visual direction, messaging, tone and public-facing identity remain cohesive as Masha enters a new era.

Media Training

Preparing our client for interviews, press conversations, red carpets and moments where her story needs to be communicated confidently.

Experiential Marketing

Creating release experiences that generate content, relationships and organic conversation around the music.

Content Strategy

Planning how campaign moments continue living digitally long after an event or performance ends.

Live Performance Development

Supporting the transition from recording artist to an artist audiences can experience in real time.

Partnership & Influencer Outreach

Connecting the campaign with brands, platforms, creators and opportunities that make sense for Masha’s evolving identity.

The objective is not simply exposure.

It is brand equity.

Building an Artist From the Inside Out

We have represented a lot of people throughout our years in public relations and marketing.

What continues to make this partnership special is Masha’s willingness to work.

The polished photographs, music videos, interviews and performances are the pieces the public sees. Behind them are hours of preparation, coaching, rehearsals, strategy meetings, revisions, media training and creative development.

Artist development still matters.

Strong PR cannot replace the work.

But when the work is there, strategic PR can make sure the right people see it, understand it and remember it.

That philosophy is at the core of how we operate at The Lipstickroyalty Agency.

We build brands from the inside out.

And “Red Light Green Light” is another example of what that looks like in practice.

What Comes Next

Release weekend may be over, but the campaign is not.

The next phase includes continued media outreach, performance content, editorial storytelling, digital marketing, creator engagement and additional opportunities designed to extend the life of the record.

Because momentum should never end when the event does.

It should multiply.

“Red Light Green Light” by Masha Kova is available now across major streaming platforms. Watch the official music video on VEVO.
