Sunday, December 8, 2019 women from several industries came together for a morning and afternoon of empowerment. The Power Brunch: Art Basel Edition took place in Miami, Fl and was a brunch like no other. In the spirit of Art Basel week, philanthropist and USMC veteran Ayla Madison wanted to facilitate a platform to celebrate and highlight women who had made an impact in their profession and the community.
The panel was comprised of different panelists, Dr. Contessa Educational professional, Elizabeth of Clear Botanical Skincare Solutions, Sex/Psychotherapist Paola, Niema of ChixElite, sisters Toya and Cecilia of Bodytek Pembroke Pines, and Dr. Garner Publicist and financial guru.
The event featured Miami artist Cherish Watson who painted live, music by Dj Chris, and four women-owned businesses Amount Financial, SkinLoyalty, Sister Glue Sweets, and Shop One Thirty. They had the chance to gain exposure, network and sell their products as official vendors. Curated by Madison and The Lipstickroyalty Agency, the event was filled with powerful women who were able to connect with one another through one commonality: ambition.
“Empowered people, empower people,” said panelist Dr. Contessa.
That was the tone for the entire brunch. If you looked around the room guests were engaged and soaked up every moment. Brunch was prepared and served which included a fruit assortment appetizer, chicken and waffle bites, stuffed empanadas with meat, eggs, and spinach, potato cakes, and egg quiches.
To top it all off, the Power Brunch was sponsored by Uncle Nearest Whiskey. Guests were able to enjoy complimentary mimosas and cocktails while learning the history behind the Uncle Nearest Brand. Ayla Madison looks forward to the next brunch which will take place in Atlanta, Ga.
