It’s been over a year since the tragic death of the beloved athlete and scholar, Tysean J. Nelson, and the community is still broken up about it and is waiting for justice to be served.
One friend, in particular, is honoring Tysean affectionately known as “Glizzy,” legacy in a major way.
Lovell Armstead is a promising college athlete with a heart of gold and plays for St. Francis University where he changed his jersey number to “7,” the same number Tysean wore in Lacrosse and football. “This for bro LLGlizz” said Armstead when asked about his number change. It’s incredible to witness the impact that Tysean has had across the country and beyond. From Florida, Delaware, and New Jersey to Africa, the outpour of support and love is unimaginable.
Tysean leaves behind a son who is now one, his mother, father, sister, stepparents, and many extended family and friends. Although his case is unsolved as of now they are hopeful that justice will be served.
