There’s a new Chef in Town

By. Gleness “Ramona” Jacobs

There’s a new chef in town and she’s here to stay. Chef Tambre Patterson is the proud owner and founder of Healthy Meals to-go. Patterson is a South Florida native who is making a name for herself in the world of culinary arts. After 15 years of working in corporate America, Patterson decided to step out on faith and start her own catering business in, 2006. The young chef started cooking at the age of 10. “I always had to make the cornbread for dinner with my mom,” said Patterson. It was through hosting family parties and get togethers with friends where she discovered her passion for cooking.

Patterson stated, “Preparing and cooking food became a source of strength for me.” She attributes a lot her success to her clients. Her clients range from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc to Breast Cancer Walk Miami. Tambre services over 300 private clients across Florida with healthy meals and to-go prepped meals.

When asked what has been her most monumental experience since starting her business, she stated, “Working and catering for the Color of Change event where over 300 women were in attendance.”

Patterson hopes to travel more and one day start a foundation that benefits hungry children. She also hopes to host her own cooking show on either The Learning Channel (“TLC”), Oprah Winfrey Network (“OWN”), or the Food Network with the desire to inspire others to recognize their talents in the tranquil efforts of preparing and cooking foods.

This year Patterson will be making an appearance at Art Basel Miami. Where she will be a featured Chef at the “Take Flight Basel” event taking place on Friday December 7, 2018 at 8pm-11pm. Chef Tambre hopes to capture the hearts and stomachs of every guest in attendance with her savory and delicious dishes.
